Basically, it's a camel ridden by a Pashtun (you can tell by the hat) playing a guitar, and it walks. When you turn it on the tail swings, the head nods up and down, the eyes flash with red lights, the guy's arm goes up and down as if he were really playing the guitar, and some excellent kitschy plastic-toy-music plays. That camel really goes!
Friends Darren and Heather, who were here in Quetta before us, showed us this lovely little model. I was hoping they'd leave theirs for us, but they loved it so much they took it with them to Nigeria. So the other day I went out to the market and tracked one down for me very own. I might even find a way to take it with me when I leave, too.
